Reach. Teach. Grow.

Empowering Communities | Sustainable Agriculture | Career Development

About the Program

The Reach, Teach, and Grow Outreach Program is a hands-on initiative hosted by The Wanderland Society in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). This program promotes sustainable agriculture and natural resource conservation by connecting people across the agricultural sector — especially in historically underserved communities — with educational resources, expert instruction, and career pathways.

What We DO

  • We begin by building community and expanding networks. The program invites students, farmers, ranchers, and mentors to engage, connect, and collaborate. Through this outreach, participants expand their knowledge and become part of a vibrant community committed to sustainability and growth.

  • Our education sessions are designed to equip participants with practical, real-world skills they can apply immediately. Hosted at Wanderland Campground, these sessions cover essential topics including:

    • Water management and irrigation engineering

    • Solar energy applications

    • Soil health and conservation practices

    • Agroforestry and regenerative techniques

Participants gain expert-led insights and actionable strategies to implement on their farms, ranches, and communities.

  • Growth is more than knowledge — it’s opportunity. Through internships, mentoring programs, and career fairs, we help participants turn their passion for agriculture and conservation into sustainable careers. The program also connects students to USDA job pathways and professional networks that support long-term success.

Why It Matters

Agriculture plays a critical role in environmental health, rural economics, and community resilience. Our Reach, Teach, and Grow program is designed to lower barriers and create equitable access to:

  • Sustainable farming methods

  • Conservation expertise

  • Career development opportunities

By connecting people to resources, each other, and real-world experience, we help build a stronger agricultural future for all.

Reach. Teach. Grow.
